Cookies and local storage

The public product, support and contact pages do not use advertising trackers, and nothing is stored on your device for analytics. The demo players do not set cookies or save listening history in browser storage.

Public pages

Your browser may cache images, fonts and audio to avoid downloading them repeatedly. Demo playback settings and decoded audio are held in memory while the page is open. They are not used to identify you across visits.

We count page views and page speed using Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Neither sets a cookie or writes to your browser’s storage. What they record is described in the privacy notice.

There is no consent banner because nothing is stored on, or read from, your device for analytics. The UK rules on cookies and similar technologies apply to storing or accessing information on your device, and page-view and performance analytics of this kind does neither, so no consent is required. Advertising and cross-site trackers are not used at all. If any of that changes, this notice and any required choices will be updated before the change goes live.

Password-protected listening pages

Private listening pages use essential authentication cookies to protect sign-in and maintain access. These serve three purposes:

  • A security token helps prevent forged sign-in requests.
  • A callback cookie remembers where to return you after sign-in.
  • An encrypted session cookie keeps you signed in. Its default expiry is 30 days and can be renewed during use.

The security and callback cookies are session cookies. They are used for the sign-in service, not advertising. Blocking or clearing them can prevent sign-in or sign you out. You can remove site cookies through your browser settings.

External checkout

When paid sales open, Lemon Squeezy’s checkout will operate under its own privacy notice and cookie choices. It is a separate service from these public pages.

Plugin files

Swirl stores trial records and a signed licence file on your computer. These are application files, not browser cookies. They allow the trial to run and the purchased plugin to verify a licence offline. Removing the plugin does not automatically remove all of these records.
