About
Sliding Cheesecake Records is an independent, one-person audio plugin developer based in Hove, UK, established in 2025. The catalogue includes Drift Delay, a free stereo delay, and Swirl Chorus, a paid chorus plugin in development.
How the plugins are built
The plugins are written in C++ with JUCE. Drift combines short and long delays with resonant filters, tape-style drift and saturation. Swirl uses short modulated delays for chorus, stereo widening, ensemble and vibrato. Its Dimension and drive voicings were developed using captures from reference plugins.
Development checks cover signal levels, filter response, parameter changes, preset recall and saved projects. Offline renders measure specific behaviour, such as bass retention in mono and aliasing under heavy drive. CPU cost and sound quality depend on the settings; the product manuals explain the available quality modes.
The product pages include dry/wet examples on guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards and drums, so you can compare the presets on the same recording.
The catalogue
Drift Delay is the first release and is free to download. Swirl Chorus is planned at £39 with a 14-day trial. Its demos and manual are available now.
