Mantissa / Changelog

Changelog

1.1.0 Oct 2026

A resizable window, and values typed into the readouts.

  • Drag the bottom-right corner, or the edge of the host's window, to resize the panel from 75 % to 200 %. It keeps its proportions.
  • A session reopens at the size it was saved at, and a new Mantissa at the size you last chose, either way no larger than the screen. Presets don't change the size.
  • Double-click the readout under a fader to type a value, then press Return. Escape leaves the value as it was.
  • Typed values take units: s or ms for the decays, Hz or k for Crossover and Treble Decay, ms or s for Predelay and Hold, % and dB. A number too low to be hertz is read in kilohertz, so 2.2 on Crossover is 2.2 kHz.
  • Predelay also takes a note value such as 1/8T, which turns tempo sync on. A note that doesn't fit the program's range becomes the nearest one that does. Size takes a size such as 2x, and Stop Decay takes Off.
  • A single click on Predelay's readout still switches between notes and milliseconds. It now waits about 0.4 s first, so that a double-click can open the field.
  • Hosts that let you type a parameter's value read the same units for times, frequencies, percentages and levels.
  • The macOS VST3 now takes typing from the keyboard, which also fixes the Save As name field there.
  • Readouts round correctly where the unit or the number of places changes: 9.999 s reads 10.0 s, not 10.00 s, and a level just below zero reads 0.0 dB, not -0.0 dB.
  • No changes to the sound or the presets. Sessions saved with 1.0.0 open as before.

1.0.0 Oct 2026

  • Bass and Mid Decay from 0.6 to 70 s, Crossover, Treble Decay, Depth, Diffusion, Mode Enhancement and Decay Optimisation, with Stepped for the original's 31 settings.
